Taylor (she/her/hers) is a computational neuroscientist and controls engineer, broadly interested in fundamentally understanding the brain and developing novel technologies. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she is a second year Electrical Engineering and Computer Science PhD candidate. In addition to academic pursuits, Taylor spends much of her time focused on mindfulness and mental health work. She meditates consistently, attends weekly therapy sessions, and pursues knowledge of practices and techniques to make the variability of life a little less overwhelming. Taylor used to classify herself as depressed and incredibly anxious. Her active work towards understanding and processing these emotions has led to relief from these experiences. She hopes to assist those who struggle with a wide array of difficulties.
